How time flies, Some eleven yrs back Alh, Haruna Tanko Abubakar started as an Ag. Conservator-General (for one year), continued as Conservator General (for 5yrs-1st term) and yet as Conservator-General (5yrs-2nd term) that came to an end under a reign that was tagged “Peaceful” by various speakers during a handing over ceremony organized at the National Park Service Headquarters Abuja on 11th March, 2016.
The new Conservator General though on acting capacity (a seasoned accountant and an Administrator for over three decades and the most senior of all the officers and men of the National Park Service, took over the mantle of power in a ceremony that left some staff emotional while presenting their goodwill messages to the outgoing Conservator General, Alh. H. Tanko Abubakar (the man that was referred to as a “Miracle man”, Highly Technical and a Father/Mentor).
While making a valedictory speech, He appreciated all staff for standing by him all these years and for the achievements recorded during the period. While we wish him continued good health, God’s protection/guidance, we pray God to continually bless him and his family for all the good works he has done. May God grant the Ag. Conservator General the wisdom and enablement to pilot the affairs of the Service to a greater height. Congratulations NPS!
